Summer Ideas!
Can you believe that summer vacation is already here?! My speech and language students have earned a well deserved break! However, continue to listen for "good" speech sounds!
Here are some activities to maintain and improve language skills:
1. What word doesn't belong and why? apple, banana, bread, grapes. Bread does not belong because it is not a fruit.
2. How are two items the same and how are they different? A bird and a kite: Both fly but a bird is an animal that has wings and a kite does not have wings, needs wind to fly and someone has to fly it!
3. What would you do?: What would you do if your bike had a flat tire? Try to fix it or ask your parents to try to fix it.
4. What do you think will happen next?: A car runs over broken glass or nails. The tires may go flat!
5. Name as many __________ as you can until I tell you to stop: farm animals, colors, vegetables, transportation etc.
6. Play games! Play charades, board games,outdoor games etc.
