In March, our class will be taking the ILSB test. This is a standardized test aligned with the Illinois State Learning Standards (see www.isbe.net for more information concerning the kindergarten standards). In order for all my students to their best on this test, I can use your help. Please read the following helpful hints and Implement them into your home routine for at least the next 2 weeks:
**Make sure your child gets enough sleep
**Make sure your child eats a hearty breakfast either at home or at school
**Discuss the importance of these tests with your child, while helping alleviate any test anxiety
**Go over good test-taking habits (i.e. take your time, erase completely, listen to directions, do your best, etc.)
**Show an interest in the test and testing process - ask your child how he/she did after arriving home
