Mrs. Dittmar's First Grade Class

by Eva Dittmar

     Mrs. Dittmar's Class

All students should be taking at least 1 AR test on the computer and reading at least one phonics reader story to me at my desk PER WEEK. We set aside a minimum of 30 minutes a day to take care of these tasks (it's one of our stations!)- that's at least 2 1/2 hours a week! Each week's behavior chart will reflect if your child is coming prepared to work and meet these goals. Your child should bring his/her AR book and phonics reader book EVERY DAY to class.

Feel free to contact me with any questions!

Sentence dictation began on January 13th. So far, the kids are catching on and doing their best to use all those skills they've been practicing in class all these months. It is a great idea to review past lists and vocabulary words. All past words will be counted on future tests when used in sentence dictation.

Each Friday, a new list is sent home. These words are to be written twice and returned Monday.

**There will no longer be a separate set of vocabulary words. Vocabulary words will be included and counted on the spelling lists/tests.

We had a FANTASTIC time on our pumpkin patch field trip to Breautigam's Farm! We had perfect weather, awesome chaperones, and very happy kiddos! Check our day below...
