ISAT TIME!
February 27th-March 2nd
It's that time of year again! We are back from holiday break, so it is time to buckle down and get ready for state testing. We will be doing Buckle Down math and reading during the week in place of some of your child's regular curriculum. I will be sending home some more information at the beginning of February for you to look at with your child. Pease explain the importance of these tests to them, to ensure they try their best!
Look who came to visit us!?
On Friday the Y98 Rally Squirrel came to surprise me and the students! Ms. Prokopf and Mr. Morgan set me up. If you did not already know I am a HUGE Cardinals fan, and at the same time I am very terrified of squirrels. So, these two thought it would be a great idea to surprise/scare me! The students and I were extremely surprised and got to be on the radio! Go to Y98.com and check out the audio of us on the radio, and the video of the visit! :)

Homework Policy
We have adopted a program for homework called ZAP, which stands for zeros are not permitted. This is taking the place of having after school detentions for unprepared. If your child does not complete their homework, they will have to finish it in the cafeteria. If you have anymore questions concerning this let me know.

Shurley Method
Our English is called Shurley English. The Shurley Method teaches the solid foundation of grammar in a new way. Students use rhythm and specific questions to classify sentences orally. They learn how a sentence fits together and how to expand, improve, and edit their writing.
