Dear Parents and Guardians,
It is so hard to believe that the 20-21 school year is coming to a close. There are a few items I wanted to let you know about regarding the end of the school year and the start of the 2021-22 school year.
We tentatively plan to return to full day in-person instruction for the 2021-22 school year. We will also be offering an am and a pm pre-k classroom and a full day tuition based pre-k program next school year. We have already had the screening for pre-k, so if you missed the screening, you will need to call the office and be put on our waiting list. Our kindergarten screening for all students who turn 5 before September 1 and who are not currently enrolled in our pre-k classroom is April 30. Please call the office to schedule an appointment.
In order to plan for next school year, we ask that you copy and paste the following link in your browser to fill out a very short survey on whether or not your family will be in the district next school year.
Registration for the 2021-22 school year will be all online. The online registration will open May 1, so please watch your email for more details. Completing registration as early as possible also helps us plan for the school year.
If you need assistance in completing the registration or need an affidavit or a waiver, you will need to schedule an appointment with an administrator.
Graduation is set for May 20, 2021 at 6:00 pm. Dr. Young will be sharing more details as they are made available.
The last day of school (1/2 day) is May 27, 2021.
The first day of school for the 2021-22 school year is August 16, 2021.
There is no summer Latch Key program. Summer school for at-risk students is Monday-Thursday from 9:00-12:00 on June 7-24 . Your child's teacher and/or principal will be in contact if you child is recommended or required to attend summer school. Summer lunches will be provided at school for any students who wish to come to school to pick up a lunch.
Thanks again for all of your support and cooperation during the challenging school year.
Have a great day!
Ms. Elser, Superintendent
