Although it is not typical that we would send a message when school is IN session, district officials want to confirm that Central School District #104 plans to have school today and to run at the regular times. Parking lots and sidewalks are being treated for extra precaution.

School will resume Tuesday, January 21, 2020.

There will be no school for Central School District #104 today, Friday, January 17 due to the strong possibility of freezing rain and ice expected to move into the area by mid- morning. There is no Latch Key and the winter dance at JAMS is cancelled as well.

As you are aware, the weather forecasts for tomorrow, January 17, call for ice and inclement weather in the afternoon. Given the unpredictability of this particular storm system, school officials will continue to monitor weather conditions through the night.
Please prepare for the possibility of school cancellation in the morning, or a notification that we will have an early dismissal during the school day tomorrow. Both are possibilities we are weighing.
If Central School District #104 should have an early dismissal, please also prepare for Latch Key and after school activities to be cancelled.
We will make any decisions as early as possible to allow families to plan. As always, we will use the best information available and will err on the side of safety.
Dawn Elser, Superintendent
